Our keynote speaker this year is Associate Professor Prof Grace Vincent who will be speaking to us on "How work and biology clash in a 24/7 world".
A/Prof Grace Vincent is an ARC-DECRA Fellow at CQUniversity’s Appleton Institute, where her research examines how modern work disrupts our biological rhythms. Her research focuses on shift workers and other high-risk occupational groups, exploring how factors like circadian disruption, physical activity and nutrition interact to affect sleep, performance, and safety. Grace works closely with industry partners to design and test practical, evidence-based interventions that support healthier sleep in real-world work settings. Her findings have shaped international policy through the World Health Organisation and European Union, and informed national guidelines on fatigue and sleep in the workplace. By translating chronobiology principles into action, Grace is helping to build safer, healthier systems for people working around the clock.
